A TWEET published by news.com.au reported on the shooting and eating of an elephant by Shooters Party MLC Robert Borsak.
Unfortunately when the tweet was published, a photograph of Greens MLC Jeremy Buckingham — who was mentioned in the story as denouncing Mr Borsak’s conduct — was automatically selected to accompany the tweet. Twitter’s photograph selection may have erroneously suggested that Mr Buckingham shot and ate the elephant, when clearly he did not.
News.com.au sincerely apologises to Mr Buckingham for any damage and hurt caused to him.
