SELLING Houses’ star gardener Charlie Albone has revealed the intimate details of his audience with the young royals, who made a special guest appearance in his TV special from the Chelsea Flower Show.
The English-born, Sydney-based landscape designer was surprised by the walk-through of Kate, William and Harry, during last year’s contest, which earned the Aussie presenter’s team gold medal praise during the 2015 competition. Albone told TV Insider Prince Harry was the most enthusiastic gardener; but when William asked about particular flowers, he was chipped by his wife, who remarked “babe, we’ve got those growing at home.â€
The exhibit is Albone’s second at the famed event; winning silver for his 2013 display — a tribute to his late father.
Charlie’s Chelsea Garden follows the mad rush to build the exhibit in just 21 days; including running repairs to the copper water feature and London’s wet weather.
