IF YOU’RE going to be called someone’s doppelganger, you’d be pretty chuffed if your lookalike turned out to be Kate Middleton.
French cyclist Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, who came 26th in the women’s road race final, has been dubbed by event spectators as the Duchess’ Olympic twin.
While we aren’t sold on the “doppelganger†title, looking at the pair side-by-side, there are some similarities despite their 10-year age gap. Their eyes are alike, and how they wear their makeup is identical too. Their smile and dimples are also similar, and even their nose and face shape is comparable.
But unlike the Duchess’ famous brunette locks, Ferrand-Prevot is blonde — but that doesn’t change the scarily-similar bone structure the pair share.
While the 24-year-old cyclist wasn’t ecstatic with her Rio result, the French-born athlete doesn’t need the royal resemblance to get her name in the headlines.
Ferrand-Prevot has made a name for herself as being the first person ever in the history of cycling to hold the world road title, world cyclo-cross title and world mountain bike title at the same time.
Earlier this week, Brady Ellison, one of the world’s top-ranked archers, became a hot topic of discussion because of his uncanny resemblance to Leonardo DiCaprio.
“Leo DiCaprio enjoying some time off from acting to play archery in the Rio Olympics,†one fan tweeted.
“Many don’t know, but Brady Ellison is actually Leonardo DiCaprio’s alter-ego,†another wrote.
I mean, maybe if you squint? But otherwise, no.
