A 12-year-old boy has been hit by a truck in Butler.
A spokesman for St John Ambulance said they were alerted just after 2.30pm.
"It looks like a 12-year-old male cyclist has been hit by a truck. He has been taken to Joondalup as a priority one with multiple serious injuries, possible fractures, cuts and abrasions," he said.
Main Roads said that Connolly Drive southbound at Swavesey Avenue has been closed. Detours are in place.
Update - 4.50pm; A spokeswoman for Joondalup has told WAtoday that it is too early to say what condition the boy is in as he is still being treated by medical staff.
