Bill Shorten has admitted he doesn’t hate the Liberals and that he’s worried politics is becoming too “dumbed downâ€.
Meanwhile, Tony Windsor delved deep into Game of Thrones references for his latest election videos.
The two clips, loaded to YouTube today, show the former MP for New England giving his best Ned Stark impression with the tagline ‘Windsor is coming’.
Mr Windsor claims he has not even seen the show, but is using famous lines of dialogue from the HBO series to make a series of points against his rival, Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce.
The first clip features Windsor discussing the idea of being the “King of the North†and in the second clip he riffs on one of the show’s most favourite quotes: “The man who passes the sentence should swing the swordâ€.
The funny clips follow a Nationals attack ad last week which posited Windsor as a woman’s ex-boyfriend who was trying to win back her affections. Windsor slammed the ad, saying it suggested he was a philanderer.
