UPDATE: Emergency services have left the scene of a crash on the Gateway Motorway and all affected vehicles have been removed returning traffic flow to normal.
It is understood that the earlier congestion from Loganholme to Eight Mile Plains has cleared, and there are no residual delays in the area.
EARLIER: TRAFFIC is banked up for almost 18km on the Gateway Motorway due to a multiple vehicle crash.
The crash happened on northbound lanes near the Miles Platting Rd off-ramp near Rochedale.
It is understood at least two cars are involved, with a truck stopping in the affected lane to assist those hurt.
One person has been taken to hospital.
Police say all lanes are now open, but traffic is still backed up for almost 20km on the Gateway Motorway and the M1 due to the location of the crash.
The injured person is in a stable condition and the other driver declined treatment.
