Icelanders gathered on the streets of Reykjavik on June 22 to celebrate the country?s soccer team victory over Austria in the European Championship. And Euro 2016 has given lovers of underdogs a great opportunity with tiny Iceland, population 330,000, confounding the experts and making it through to the knockout stages of the tournament.

They will face England, population approximately 55 million, in Nice on Tuesday at 5am (AEST).

The Icelandic commentary (see video below) which greeted the goal that put them through has to be heard to be believed.
