A Sydney osteopath has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman during massage appointments at his clinic in Bondi Junction.
Police said the 38-year-old man was a doctor but also practised as an osteopath.
A police statement said the 23-year-old woman attended the clinic on two occasions in February and March this year and was allegedly sexually assaulted during her appointments.
Following investigations into the matter, eastern suburbs police arrested the man about 12: 25pm Wednesday at the clinic in Bondi Junction.
The man was charged with one count of sexual assault and two counts of indecent assault.
He was refused bail and will appear at Waverley Local Court today.
Eastern Suburbs Police Detective Inspector Peter Glynn said the woman had only been to the clinic on two occasions.
"On both occasions she received some inappropriate attention during a massage," Detective Inspector Glynn said.
He said the police used a number of "covert evidence-gathering strategies" in investigating the man, but did not go into detail.
Detective Inspector Glynn said he could not go into what the nature of the assault was.
"The NSW Police take all reports of sexual assault very seriously and all matters will be investigated," he said.
"We encourage all victims of sexual assault to report their matters to the police."
He said if there were other people with complaints about the man they should go to police.
