IRWA sneak peek at what’s featured in tomorrow’s issue of Inside Retail Weekly….

Employee entitlement issues have increasingly blighted the retail industry since the 7-Eleven scandal reared its ugly head in the second half of 2015. The latest cab off the rank is Coles, with the Fair Work Commission last week finding Wesfarmers’ supermarket chain – currently the number one retailer in the country in terms of sales revenue – underpaid employees under a wages agreement introduced in 2015. However, the FWC ruling says more about the Shop Distributive And Allied Employees Association’s hypocrisy than the motives of Coles, and you can more about that in our cover story this week.

In an Inside Retail exclusive, this week in IRW new Kikki.K CEO and former David Jones boss, Iain Nairn, details his global vision for the gifts and stationery retailer. In one of his first presentations since assuming the Kikki.K role, Nairn addressed retailers on the 2016 Westfield World Retail Study Tour in London last month, and in this week’s issue we present the key points that Nairn touched on.

In From The Source this week we chat to Karin Adcock, the former leader of jewellery chain, Pandora, in Australia and New Zealand, about her strategy for Alex And Ani, a US jewellery brand that she is now bullishly rolling out across ANZ.

And in an opinion column this week, we look at whether or not online retailer, Kogan, can survive post-public listing once its founder Ruslan Kogan chooses to move on.

You’ll find all of this, and much more, in Inside Retail Weekly Issue 2095.
