THE mystery multi-millionaire is still out there.

Somebody in Victoria has won a whopping $40 million after buying a Tattslotto from a small town in South Gippsland.

Despite many call-outs, Tatts said it still hasn’t heard a peep from the winner of Tuesday’s epic Oz Lotto jackpot draw, who purchased an unregistered ticket with the seven winning numbers from Nextra Newsagency in Leongatha.

The mystery multi-millionaire has created a stir in the sleepy town, with locals flooding into the newsagency waving their tickets in the hope they may be sitting on the prize.

Oz Lotto spokeswoman Claire Taylor said the ticket still remained unclaimed.

“Surely we have to be close to finding the mystery ticket holder, as the message to check your Oz Lotto tickets is spreading rapidly on the bush telegraph in Leongatha,” she said.

“We urge anyone who purchased an unregistered Oz Lotto ticket in Tuesday night’s draw from Nextra Leongatha Newsagency to check their ticket immediately, even if never in your wildest dreams did you think you’d become a multi-millionaire.

“If you have that staggering realisation that you’re holding the division one winning ticket, after you take a deep breath and perhaps sit down, contact Tatts on 131 868 as soon as possible to start the process of claiming your $40 million prize.”

The winning numbers in the $40 million draw 1162 on Tuesday May 24 were 22, 32, 25, 11, 38, 4, and 5.

The supplementary numbers were 20 and 40.

The $40 million jackpot was the equal largest prize offered by Oz Lotto this year.
