Margaret Fulton at the InStyle and Audi Women of Style Awards in Sydney, Australia.

SYDNEY’S most glamorous women dazzled at the Instyle and Audi Women of Style awards last night, but it was 93-year-old Margaret Fulton who stole the show.

Fulton had the crowd in fits of laughter and wiping away a few tears as she took to the stage to accept the Lifestyle award.

The Aussie legend, who has sold over 1.3 million cookbooks in her lifetime, was giving a standing ovation by the crowd as she accepted the first award of the night.

“I’m such a show off,” Fulton said.

“I’ve been showing women how to bake a scone and how to keep a man, yes that comes into it because it’s all part of life.

“I’m 93 and I still love life and I’m going to keep on loving life and my friends and people I meet because it’s just the way to go.”

Other winners included Lara Worthington who took out the Reader’s Choice Award, Marta Dusseldorp who won the Entertainment Award, and Michelle Payne who was honoured for her contribution to Sport, and Linda Jackson who won the Fashion Award.

Dr Emma Fulu, 37, received the $10,000 InStyle and Audi Style Scholarship. Dr Fulu is the director of The Equality Institute, which aims to advance equality and prevent violence against women. The group conducts research and creates policies and programs in collaboration with organisations such as the United Nations and the World Health Organisation.

InStyle editor Emily Taylor said of the night: “The InStyle and Audi Women of Style Awards tonight recognised 30 influential and incredibly talented women.

“These awards are testament to the outstanding achievements made by a group of extraordinary people, each respected for their valuable contributions to society. I am thrilled to be able to recognise and celebrate their successes.

Guests at the ceremony included: Lara Worthington, Dannii Minogue, Michelle Bridges, Collette Dinnigan, Layne Beachley, Kirk Pengilly, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Claudia Karvan, Barry Otto, Margaret Fulton, Geraldine Hakewill, Anna Bamford, Juanita Phillips and Pip Marlow.
