SALIM Mehajer is furiously denying that his marriage is on the rocks — but the omens aren’t looking good.

The former deputy mayor of western Sydney’s Auburn council posted on social media on Tuesday night an image of himself and wife Aysha with the caption “Our love is too great to destroy”.

But according to reports, Mr Mehajer was in a less romantic mood over the Anzac Day long weekend when he was allegedly “yelling” and “screaming” while knocking on the door of a house in Wollongong.

Aysha Mehajer, a former beautician who used to live in Wollongong, was apparently staying in the house with her sister.

Mr Mehajer allegedly went to the house, in Horsley, south of the city, and demanded the keys to a Mercedes car his wife had been using, reported the Daily Telegraph.

Police confirmed to news.com.au that an investigation was underway following a “domestic violence incident” involving a 29-year-old man at Horsley on Monday.

“Police have spoken to a number of witnesses who are assisting with their inquiries,” NSW Police said in a statement.

‘GOD SENT ME AN ANGEL’

The couple shot to fame last year when their lavish wedding, which included helicopters and fast cars, shut down an entire suburban street.

But speculation has plagued the Mehajers that their relationship has faltered.

The couple have not been seen together for weeks and a 30th birthday party for Aysha included US rappers but not the birthday girl herself.

Last week, a cheesy video emerged online of Mr Mehajer embracing another woman. A series of captions was daubed across the images including such classics as “God sent me an angel” and “The moment I fell in love”.

‘OUR LOVE IS TOO GREAT’

Mr Mehajer, in an apparent attempt to counteract the whispers, has been busy posting images of him and his wife on social media. But none seem to be new and she has not been seen at their house in Lidcombe, western Sydney, for some time.

Aysha also appears to have reverted to using her premarital surname of Learmonth.

While Mr Mehajer did get his hands on his Mercedes, his wife now seems to be even further out of reach with rumours she has left NSW for the Gold Coast.

He denied the pair had split, telling the Telegraph “we are living happily — just away from our Lidcombe residence”.

Yesterday, Mr Mehajer posted an image of him and a woman, presumably Aysha but from the back it’s impossible to be certain, walking along a beach.

“When they try turning on you, don’t look back,” the caption reads.

“Our love is too great to destroy. My princess forever.”

The couple are pictured walking into the sunset. Mr Mehajer may be hoping the sun isn’t also going down on his marriage.
