US PRESIDENTIAL hopeful Donald Trump yet again made news for all the wrong reasons this week with a spectacularly embarrassing gaffe.
Campaigning ahead of this week’s New York GOP primary, it happened when the Republican frontrunner was speaking of the September 11 terror attacks.
“I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen, down on 7-11, down at the World Trade Centre, right after it came down, and I saw the greatest people I’ve ever seen in action.â€
Yep, the possible future leader of the United States referred to the country’s darkest day in recent memory as ‘7/11’.
Many piled on to mock Trump, but for our money, the most succint response came from Hollywood actress Salma Hayek. The 49-year-old Mexico-born star and outspoken human rights activist had this to say:
