A MAN has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being assaulted on Rundle St in Adelaideâ€™s CBD.

Police were called to a disturbance on Rundle St just after 10pm with reports of a man being knocked unconscious.

The victim was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Police quickly found and arrested two suspects nearby.

A Keswick man, 21, and an Exeter man, 23, were charged with aggravated assault and affray â€” a public brawl disturbing peace.

The Keswick man has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates court on Monday.

The Exeter man was bailed to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court in May.
