A WOMAN has been charged after the death of another woman in Sunbury.
Detectives have charged a 53-year-old Sunbury woman with murder. The woman faced an out of sessions hearing on Saturday evening.
She has been remanded in custody to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The charges follow the discovery of a 44-year-old woman’s body in Balmoral Circuit about 7.30am.
The mum was killed while walking near her house in an early morning attack, alleged to have stemmed from a long-running neighbourhood feud.
Rachel Tyquin was found in her athletic gear, lying on a nature strip about 250m from her Sunbury house on Saturday morning.
The fitness instructor had suffered multiple wounds in a suspected stabbing attack police are treating as a murder.
Emergency crews were called at 7.30am but Ms Tyquin could not be saved.
It’s understood Ms Tyquin, aged in her 40s, had been at the centre of a dispute over street car parking.
Her neighbour, Eva Maria Whitecross, aged in her 50s, was being questioned by police on Saturday night.
