The former general manager of Dick Smith’s Move business has landed a new job with Samsung following the collapse of the electrical retailer.
Samsung Electronics Australia has appointed Jeremy Senior as director, home appliances, effective March 29.
Senior joins the South Korean company following an 18 month stint at Dick Smith, where he held a number of roles including general manager of Move, Move by Dick Smith and Electronics Powered by Dick Smith at David Jones. Most recently he was interim general manager leading buying, merchandise planning and marketing functions.
Senior also has five years’ experience with Sony Australia Limited,where he drove the channel strategy for consumer products in Australia across a broad and diverse retail network.
In his role at Samsung, Senior will be responsible for the growth and development of the home appliances division. He will report to VP of consumer electronics, Carl Rose and will lead the home appliance team including Mike Lilly, head of product (home appliances).
