HOLLYWOOD actor and director Robert Duvall has not been seen in public for months, and friends reportedly fear his health has taken a bad turn.
Duvall, 85, has reportedly been living as a recluse for seven months according to RadarOnline.com, and friends have told the celebrity news website that they fear his health has deteriorated.
“Bobby hasn’t been seen in quite some time now, and the fear is that he may have had a stroke,†a source told RadarOnline.com.
“Friends kept telling him to slow down and take it easy. The feeling is that his body just gave out.â€
Duvall is married to Argentinian actress Luciana Pedraza, and the pair starred alongside each other in Wild Horses which was released last year. The crime drama was also directed by Duvall.

Before that, the couple were seen in public when they attended the Academy Awards together. At the age of 84, Duvall became the oldest person ever to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards, with a nomination for the film The Judge.
On his official Facebook page, a photograph of him was posted in August last year, when he went to The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville with Bill Bob Thornton and music producer Michael Hodges.
“Bobby still acts like he’s half his age,†a source told RadarOnline.com.
“Up until a couple years ago, he was still riding his horse all over his 360-acre Virginia farm. But recently he’s had to slow down a bit because it started to take a toll on him.â€
Fans saw Duvall on horseback in his film Open Range with Kevin Costner.

IMDB reports that he filmed a new film titledIn Dubious Battle last year, with James Franco, Selena Gomez and Josh Hutcherson. The film has not been released yet.
He has also starred in famous films including The Godfather series, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Apostle, A Civil Action, Get Low and Thank You for Smoking among many others.

Duvall and his wife founded the Robert Duvall Children’s Fund in 2001, which was the focus of his last Facebook post in October last year. The charity helps many impoverished families around the world. But no more recent photos of the actor or his wife appeared on his page.
