A 24-YEAR-OLD first homebuyer has been revealed as the reported new owner of Texan billionaire Jim Clark and his wife, model Kristy Hinze-Clark’s multi-million dollar Point Piper pad.
The young Chinese national named Jack Junhua Lin forked out $8 million for the Point Piper apartment, which is one of just four whole-floor residences within the harbourfront Sienna block on Wolseley Rd developed by builder Michael Bezzina.
The former Scots College student is said to be the son of Victor Lin, who is well known among Sydney’s Chinese elite.
The luxury three-bedder had been US-based Jim Clark and Kristy Hinze-Clark’s Sydney bolthole since 2009, when they paid $7.65 million for the residence, two months after they were married.
Since purchasing the property, the pair have had two daughters, Dylan and Harper.
Offering 320sq m on title, it showcases spectacular northerly views of the CBD and Harbour Bridge and is awash with luxury appointments, including heated Israeli rose stone floors, cream silk carpet and a marble kitchen.
The sale comes after A-lister couple had listed the property twice prior, most recently with an $8 million-plus asking price.
The property was sold in early March through Jaime Upton, of Sotheby’s International.
