IN the future, doing the weekly shopping could be as easy as swinging through the Macca’s drive-through.
Well that’s according to this excellent video that was posted on Futurism.com ...
The patent for ‘Drive Market’, a drive-through supermarket concept, was recently filed by Russian inventor Semenov Dahir Kurmanbievich.
The supermarket store is set up just like a petrol station (but indoors).
After you drive up to the service bay, you can scroll through the store’s entire inventory right from your seat.
While you shop, a cashier tallies and bags the items for you.
All in all, the whole process should take less than five minutes.
On a separate floor, a few workers would be able to manage all the inventory in real time.
A high tech ventilation system would suck up exhaust to keep the air clean.
The aim of the concept is to improve customer service, maximise convenience, increase product choice and lower costs.
It would certainly be damn handy when it’s raining and, even better, it would keep children’s supermarket tantrums out of the public eye ... and that is an incredibly appealing concept.
