Semi Radradra cut loose in a stunning performance against the Bulldogs.

AFTER a quiet start to the season, Semi Radradra has cut loose in a one-man demolition to humble the Bulldogs 20-6.

The winger has now scored 50 tries in just 52 appearances to maintain the craziest strike rate in the NRL, after scoring a second half double that wasn’t even the highlight of his night.

The Fijian was at the centre of everything the Eels did well, starting with an incredible assist to gift Michael Jennings his first try in blue and gold — a leaping effort that finished with a one-handed flick pass from on his back.

THE STAR

Semi Radradra. You could watch this guy all day. Every time he touches the ball he lifts the crowd off their seats and you only had to watch his first half assist to see why. His two second half tries were the icing on the cake.

THE DUNCE

Men in the bunker. Since when can you rule on a forward pass during the video review process? Will be fascinating to find out from referees boss Tony Archer how the Bulldogs’ ‘no try’ decision was made. Whether the decision was ultimately right or wrong, it appeared that the process was hijacked.

THE MOMENT

Raging James Graham. You could see how much the confusing bunker decision hurt the Bulldogs just by watching the reaction of their skipper. He can rage for Queen and country and with the ‘no try’ ruling late in the second half he could see the game slip away.

WHAT WE LEARNED

The Eels are the real deal. Brad Arthur has built a tough defensive unit and with Kieran Foran running the show, there’s a sense of belief that didn’t previously exist. With a tough pack and the likes of Radradra and Jennings on the edges, there’s a formula for success in this side.
