An Instagram account called 'HotMigrants' has been slammed as offensive

The Sun reports that the account features pictures of “handsome men on their journey to Europe.”

The sick taglined reads: “Their countries might be falling apart but their sex appeal still goes strong.”

The posts, featuring refugees fleeing from Syria among other migrants, include flippant comments, including “Light hair don’t care, and neither do the Macedonian guards apparently.”

Another reads: “Pretty in Pink. Gotta stay fresh as you try to start a new life.”

The account also features captions like: “Looking flawless in Lesbos?” and “Waiting handsomely for a better life.”

One wrote: “Is this some sort of a new fetish? What a sick minded inhumane p**** you are.”

Another agreed: “It’s disgusting.”

One appalled user added: “This whole account is a f******* mess — deliberate objectification and harmfully reductive commentary on people whose lives hang in the balance.”

The anonymous creator, who lived in Washington, defended the account.

They said: “There is something to be said about finding comedy in such a tragedy. It helps to cope with the situation.”
