Lisa threw this look at Lauren and all hell broke loose.
THINGS came to a head between Lauren and Lisa on Monday night’s episode of MKR, with the pair needling each other all throughout Mike and Cookie’s instant restaurant.
Lauren’s painted herself as the villain in this group with her strategic scoring and insistence on criticising every small detail of a dish.
With Lisa, who cooked with step-mum Hazel last night, feeling like her score was brought down because of Lauren’s strategy, daggers were being shot across the dining table all night.
“We didn’t get the score we would’ve liked,†Lisa informed the judges in front of the other teams. “We believe there was some strategic voting going on. We think we deserved a little bit more than what we got.â€
The digs between Lisa and Lauren began when the Newcastle dads served up their entree of twice baked cheese souffle.
“I’m a cheese expert and I lived in Paris for eight years so I know my cheese,†judge Rachel said of the dish. “So what I was expecting from this dish was something uber cheesy. Did I get that? I did. You chose the right cheese. It was bold, it was flavoursome and that grainy mustard was a good call because that gave it a bit of a kick. However, the veg on the side, I think you could have added more flavour there.â€
Rachel scored it an eight while Colin scored it a seven.
Playing nice after being accused of scoring strategically, Lauren declared: “You know, I’m a pretty straight shooter. I just think this is the dish of the comp so far.â€
But Lisa disagreed: “It’s a lot better than our entree. But I don’t think it’s the dish of the competition. It lacked flavour.â€
Lauren then rolled her eyes all the way back to grade seven.

The dads continued to impress with their main of prosciutto-wrapped pork fillet with potato puree and a honey sage jus.
But not before Cookie got quite overwhelmed in the kitchen and broke down just because.

“You couldn’t have done a better job,†Rachel said before scoring the dish a nine. “When it arrived, everybody’s plate just looked stunning. Your pork was perfect. That was just beautiful.â€
Colin also scored the “top notch dish†a nine.
Only a few hours after singing the boys’ praises, Lauren changed her tune.
“For me, I’m not huge on pork,†she said. “You know, just a few little things — inconsistencies with the cooking of the meat. And I thought the prosciutto might have been a bit crispy. The carrots were a little bit over.â€
Needless to say, Lisa took the complete opposite opinion.
“I actually enjoyed it more than the entree,†she said. “Everything on this plate was perfect. And if it wasn’t perfect it was that close to perfect that it wasn’t worth complaining about.â€
Lauren wasn’t happy.
“I’m uber p*ssed, like, they don’t have manners,†she spat at the camera afterwards. “If looks could kill, I would’ve got carried out in a body bag.â€
The expression on Lisa’s face she was referring to didn’t really look that threatening.
“Hai.â€Source:Channel 7
Riding high on the success of their previous two dishes, Chris and Cookie made a few minor mistakes with their dessert, but it wasn’t enough to cost them in the end.
Serving up their chocolate mouse with hazelnut praline and raspberry coulis, they were a bit heavy handed with the cocoa powder.
“When you say chocolate mouse to me I expect something rich, bubbly and light,†Rachel said. “I wanted a raspberry coulis that could match that richness. And I think you definitely delivered it. The chocolate mouse, it was bold in flavour. Works very nicely with the tartness of the raspberry. Little heavy on the cocoa powder — it was coating my mouth. But I think you definitely delivered.â€
While Colin thought the coulis was a bit too tart, both judges scored the dish a seven.
With a combined score of 40 out of 50 from the other teams, Chris and Cookie finished the night with a grand total of 87. They shoot to the top of the leaderboard.
My Kitchen Rules continues Tuesday night at 7.30pm on Seven
