NEW technology has made searching for a home easier and a lot more fun with a new mobile phone app that lifts property listings off the printed page and brings them to life with augmented reality.
It’s the result of a unique partnership with national real estate group Ray White, realestate.com.au and News Corp and combines the strength of both print and digital media.
Ray White’s Raise Your Hand auction campaign will be launched this weekend with 1.9 million copies of its Australia’s Biggest Auction magazine inserted in News Corp Sunday papers across the country and the Property ViewAR app developed by realestate.com.au and technology company Plattar.
More than 400 properties listed for auction with Ray White agencies across the country fill the pages of the magazine and hundreds more are expected to go under the hammer in the company’s Raise Your Hand campaign from March 10 — 24.
Ray White Group chairman Brian White has hailed the national campaign as one that would bring “real value to the Australian community and reshape the way Australians search for their dream home.’’
With the magazine in hand, readers only have to download the Property ViewAR app and then scan the mobile phone over a property listing for photographs, videos and even 3D virtual tours to pop up.
News Corp Australia chief executive Peter Tonagh said News was thrilled to partner with realestate.com.au and Ray White to debut this marketing innovation.
“It brings together the serendipity of browsing newspapers with the interactivity of digital technology,’’ he said.
“It’s a real win-win solution — consumers will be able to find their dream home quicker and agents and vendors will be able to significantly grow both the reach and engagement of their campaigns.â€
The Property ViewAR app is available now to download on the App Store or in Google Play.
