A Melbourne court has heard a horror story where a woman was raped by her own father.

The young woman, from Melbourne was “just so excited” when she managed to track down her dad in Queensland in 2014.

Although she had heard rumours about his history of violence, she decided to invite him to stay with her family.

The 38-year-old man travelled to visit his daughter with his son and partner, staying in the spare room.

When they arrived, the daughter was thrilled to finally meet her dad.

“This was the first time meeting my father,” she said.

“He was happy to see me too. I was just so excited and happy to finally meet my real dad.”

The happy feeling soon turned to horror when the dad and daughter were left home alone together.

The father said “Give dad a hug” before kissing her on the neck and groping her.

She pushed him off her, and angrily said: “If you’re gonna be like that, you may as well take me to your bedroom”.

Horrifically, the dad then said “I love you forever” before raping his own daughter.

In court, the woman described the shocking ordeal.

She explained: “I didn’t say anything or do anything.

“I felt I had to co-operate and not say anything. I was worried I might get hurt. I thought that if I tried to stop him, he would get angry.

“I felt gross that it was my dad. I just wanted to get in the shower as I felt so dirty.”

When the woman’s husband returned home, the pair immediately rang the police.

Initially, the dad denied the accusations.

“She made me have sex with her … I tried to say no. I didn’t want to lose her,” he told police.

After further interrogation, the dad pleaded guilty and was jailed for incest for four years.
