Golf: U.S. President Barack Obama shows his golf game is in fine form, holing out a chip in from 40 feet.
US President Barack Obama has lived out every amateur golfer’s dream, sinking a 40-foot chip from off the green — and it was all captured while the cameras were rolling.
Mr Obama arrived in Hawaii on Saturday to celebrate Christmas and ring in his final year as president on a two-week holiday.
He wasted no time, hitting the course at the Mid Pacific Country Club in Kailua overnight, accompanied by White House pool media crews.
The left hander, who has played around 250 games of golf in between ruling the free world, nailed the 40-foot chip shot from just off the 18th green.

After the shot, Obama tossed his wedge on the green, raised his arms and made sure the cameras captured the magic moment.
On Monday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took a swing at Mr Obama, suggesting his fondness for golf had hindered his job as president.
“It was reported today [Obama] played 250 rounds of golf and he’s going to be in Hawaii, I think did they say for three weeks?†Trump said. “Two hundred and fifty rounds, that’s more than a guy who plays in the PGA Tour plays. He played more golf last year than Tiger Woods. We don’t have time for this. We have to work.â€
Trump, who owns 17 golf courses around the world, assured Americans: “I don’t have time for that. I love golf, I think it’s one of the greats, but I don’t have time.â€
The president usually spends his vacation in Hawaii, the island state where he was born, frequenting the island’s golf courses, dining out, hiking, going to the beach and treating himself and his daughters to shave ice, a frozen dessert that looks like a snow cone.
