Police Air Wing are helping search for a missing toddler near Warrugal.

The girl, wearing nothing but a T-shirt and nappy, went missing from the family home on Bloomfield Rd in Crossover, near Warrugal, at 7.30pm.

The girl wandered off with her dog.

She was located safe and well at 2.15am, after search teams first found the dog, which led them to the girl, who was nearby.

Police from the air wing, search and rescue and the dog squad assisted local police with the search.

A police helicopter was in the air from 11pm, searching the area for signs of the lost girl.

A police spokeswoman said it was a “wonderful outcome”.

“The dog stayed with her the whole time, and she was found soon after search teams spotted the dog,” she said.

“The family was humbled that so many people helped locate their little girl.”
