BONDI RESCUE’S Dean ‘Deano’ Gladstone has sold his Randwick home for $2.1 million within 48 hours of it hitting the market.
Gladstone and his wife Lilli bought the house in 2008 for $1.04 million and have lived in the home with their two children Lucy and Gus.
The couple are selling with plans to move closer to the beach.
The King St semi has three-bedrooms and was listed with McGrath Coogee selling agent Mark McPherson and a price guide of $1.8 million.
“With Dean working as a lifeguard and two young kids, they’re looking for something closer to the water and to work,†Mr McPherson said.
“Bondi, Clovelly or Bronte is their preference.â€
Mr McPherson said the couple have renovated the home, giving it an open-plan kitchen and dining room that flows out to a courtyard.
The backyard also features an elevated grass yard with a car space.
Inside the home are period features, including ornate ceilings, original fireplaces and leadlight windows.
“It’s well set back from the house on the eastern side, it doesn’t feel like a semi,†Mr McPherson said.
“It will appeal to young families in that location, it’s also low maintenance so is ideal for someone scaling down and looking for easy maintenance.â€
A charming three-bedroom Coogee home smashed expectations by more than $200,000
The home was bought by an inner west buyer who had been house hunting for about eight months.
“Instantly when the buyer went through it she loved it, her husband hasn’t even seen it yet,†Mr McPherson said.
“We had one other person that was remotely interested but they were not at that figure.â€
Gladstone is a regular cast member of the long running Channel 10 reality television show which takes place on Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach.
