Rebel Wilson, not 29.
REBEL Wilson has finally opened up about why she lied about her age.

A former classmate who attended Sydney’s Tara Anglican School for Girls in North Parramatta told Woman’s Day magazine that Wilson — real name Melanie Elizabeth Bownds — “she’s 36 — she was born in 1979 and we left school in 1997.â€
Wilson came clean in an interview with WHO magazine this week, saying she felt hurt when she was called out for it.
“Being an actress it affects women more than men in terms of ageism and sexism so to be called out by the press on something most sensible business-minded people would have done in my position, it was a bit hurtful,†she told the mag.

“When you’re an actor, you have what’s called a playing range; to me, it’s not really beneficial having your age written anyway.â€
Wilson had previously poked fun at the media back in May for questioning her real age, tweeting:
But it seems her age hasn’t hurt her career so far, with Wilson signing on to star as Fat Amy once again in the third instalment of Pitch Perfect.
She also has another two films due out next year, Grimsby and How To Be Single.
