The International team are putting up a better fight against the powerful Americans on the second day of golf's Presidents Cup.
Drubbed 4-1 in the opening day foursomes, captain Nick Price's Internationals were rallying in Friday's four-ball contests at the jack Nicklaus Golf Club in Incheon, South Korea.
Midway through, they led in two of the five matches, while two were all square and they trailed in the other.
South Africans Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace were again leading the way.

Having claimed the Internationals' only point on day one, they were in the first match out on course and led the Americans' star group of world No.1 Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson two up after 13 holes.
The combination of South Africa's Charl Schwarzel and Thai veteran Thongchai Jaidee were also faring well, one up over Americans Bill Haas and Chris Kirk in the final match.
The Australians were yet to really shine.
World No.2 Jason Day was paired with countryman Adam Scott and they were all square through 10 holes in their battle with Phil Mickelson and Zach Johnson.
Kiwi Danny Lee and home country player Sang Moon Bae were also all square, against Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker.
But Aussies Steve Bowditch and Marc Leishman trailed JB Holmes and Bubba Watson one down after 10 holes.
