Veteran news presenter Chris Bath will make her first television appearance as a guest host on Studio 10 after ending her two-decade tenure at Seven.

The newsreader was tight-lipped in June about the reason for her departure, but insisted she was not being forced-out due to rumoured behind-the-scenes tension.

Now, less than two months later, Bath will make her first debut on a rival network as a guest host on Ten's morning program Studio 10 on Tuesday.

While her appearance comes as an advocate during Stroke Awareness Week, the guest appearance opens the door to a longer role at Ten.

Studio 10 co-hosts Sarah Harris and Joe Hildebrand excitedly announced the news on Instagram and Twitter on Monday morning.

"Our reaction to the exciting news that OUR GIRL CRUSH @chrisbath is guest hosting @studio10au tomorrow!!" wrote Harris under a beaming photo of the pair.

Replied Bath: "So excited to be working with my triumvirate of girl crushes... Thanks for having me on to talk #Stroke & chew the fat on everything else."

Studio 10 executive producer Rob McKnight told News Corp he was looking forward to working with one of Seven's "biggest talents".

"We are delighted that Chris has chosen Studio 10," McKnight said.
