Titans chief executive Graham Annesley’s Bundall home went on the market for over a million dollars on Friday.

THE chief executive of beleaguered rugby league club, the Titans, has put his Gold Coast waterfront home on the market.

Graham Annesley, who joined the Gold Coast NRL franchise in September 2013 after a two-and-a-half-year stint as New South Wales Minister for Sport, put his Bundall waterfront home on the market on Friday.

But the sale doesn’t mean he’s looking to leave the Gold Coast - he and wife Erica have found another property on the coast they like.

“We’re only selling because we’ve found another place on the coast,” he said. “I wouldn’t say we’re trading up because the property values are not too dissimilar. It’s just a place that suits us better.”

Mr Annesley has put a price guide of $1.075 million to $1.15 million on the Balmoral Avenue property, which he hopes to sell via private treaty at this stage.

The Balmoral Avenue home was extensively renovated before the Annesleys bought it in January last year.

“We bought it two years ago. It’s a great property, at the end of a canal and looking straight up the canal. It has a very open floor plan. It’s been completely renovated. We made other changes to it but the major renovation was done before we bought it.”

Mr Annesley, who has over two decades experience as a sports administrator including time as NRL chief operating officer, paid $980,000 for the Gold Coast property in January last year.

He bought the three-bedroom, three-bathroom, four car space property four months after joining the Titans outfit.

The home, which is being marketed by Lisa Halpin of Mcgrath Surfers Paradise, was billed as a “sensational, single level, waterfront home” with views to the hinterland and mountains.

“A perfect family home close to all local amenities, schools and the golden beaches of the Gold Coast.”

Homes in Bundall average 78 days to land a sale, but Mr Annesley’s home — which has been on the market for just four days — could go much sooner given its prime waterfront positioning.

The valuation on the land alone was $510,000 in June this year. The property has canal frontage as well as a swimming pool.

It also features an open plan kitchen and dining area plus lounge, a second lounge that could be used as a rumpus or fourth bedroom, a master bedroom with access to the pool and two large bedrooms with built-in storage.

Mr Annesley also has an entertaining deck, low maintenance gardens, garden shed, solar pool heating and ducted airconditioning. The garden facing the waterfront was fenced with the property clearly targeting the family segment of the market.

Mr Annesley has been part of a team looking to reform the troubled Gold Coast Titans NRL franchise after the parent body took over control earlier this year. The club had hoped for some fresh blood in its playing pool with the signing of star player Daly Cherry-Evans earlier this year — but that fell through when the Manly player chose to renegotiate and remain in NSW.
