The Our Day Project is a film that documents a day in the life of children around the world. Using pocket video cameras, hundreds of children capture all the detail and colour of their day, giving us an incredible insight into childhood, in Australia and overseas.
With the support of ChildFund Australia's ChildFund Connect program, children in Australia, Laos, Vietnam and Timor Leste have produced a collection of videos about their lives. Meanwhile, filmmaker Clinton J Isle has taken on the creative task of combining this footage to create one film -- Our Day. The result? Our Day shows how daily life is very different - but also in many ways the same - in very different parts of the world.
To celebrate Universal Children's Day on 20 November, ChildFund Connect will be screening this film simultaneously across South East Asia and the South Pacific. Further distribution will take place around the world through the ChildFund Alliance, Arts Queensland and Education Queensland.
Our Day is a creative collaboration between ChildFund Connect, Clinton J. Isle and Mayfield State School, and is jointly funded by the Arts Queensland Artist In Residence program and ChildFund Australia.
