Kumbukani is 12 years old and lives in Malawi. He was sold to a farmer to work under dangerous conditions. He was eventually rescued and came to live at a Salvation Army centre where he was fed, clothed and given an education. The Salvation Army in Malawi receives financial support from the annual Self Denial Appeal. This appeal gives members of Salvation Army churches an opportunity to support The Salvation Army's work overseas.
