In February 2013, MasterChef star Julie Goodwin visited Uganda as ChildFund Australia's newest ambassador.
Julie and her husband Mick have been ChildFund sponsors for 13 years. They visited Uganda to meet one of their sponsored children, Hamad, and learn more about ChildFund's work first-hand. During their trip, they participated in a Nutrition Day and visited a range of ChildFund projects to see for themselves the value of child sponsorship in helping children and families overcome poverty.
This video captures Julie's experience of the Nutrition Day where mothers and children came together to learn from one of the few nutritionists in the area, Esther Nambala.
