1. An investigation is on the way for Facebook’s cryptocurrency. The US Senate Banking Committee plans to hold a hearing on Facebook’s new cryptocurrency, Libra, to examine issues around data privacy.

2. Qantas details its new Frequent Flyer initiatives. Qantas is rolling out a range of new initiatives for Frequent Flyer members including extra seating, reduced flight charges and less points needed for international economy flights.

4. Google will stop making tablet devices. Google will no longer make its own tablet devices, halting the production of two unreleased tablets and not releasing the successor to the Pixelbook Slate. This week Google also held its annual shareholder meeting where executives faced a barrage of questions about the company’s workplace policies and business projects.

5. Chicken Free Chicken comes to Australia. New Zealand plant based protein company Sunfed is launching in Australia today, bringing its Chicken Free Chicken to Coles supermarkets.

6. The FBI is reportedly investigating whether Deutsche Bank failed to properly comply with anti-money-laundering regulations.

7. Trump’s tariffs are costing Americans billions. US President Donald Trump’s trade policies have cost Americans up to $US22 billion according to a new report from the free trade group, Tariffs Hurt the Heartland.

8. Apple is recalling certain MacBook Pro laptops. The tech giant issued a voluntary recall for 15-inch MacBook Pros sold between September 2015 and February 2017 over concerns that the battery could overheat.

9. A day after Iran shot down a US Navy drone -– aiming to make clear its position that it is “ready for war” — US President Donald Trump called the attack “a mistake”. However, Trump later said the US will “soon find out” if he’ll hit Iran with a military strike as a result.

10. Hatice Cengiz, the fiancée of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi, wrote a scathing New York Times op-ed about Trump administration’s lackluster response to his murder. It comes shortly after the United Nations released a detailed report of Khashoggi’s killing.
