It’s shaping up to be a bright and beautiful public holiday for most of Australia tomorrow…but don’t forget your brolly if you’re in Adelaide or Perth.
A broad high pressure system will keep rain at bay along the east coast, with plenty of sunshine sure to round-off the long weekend superbly.
Melbourne can expect some morning fog, but it will clear for a mostly sunny day with a top of 16 degrees.
Hobart will be much the same, with patchy fog dissipating for sunny skies and a maximum of 15 degrees.
If you're out and about in Canberra tomorrow morning, don't forget a scarf or beanie (or both); the mercury is expected to be around the 2 degree mark, before checking out with a sunny top of 15 degrees.
Further north, Sydney is headed for a mild top of 19 degrees; winds will pick up slightly around midday, but are set to taper off during the late afternoon.
Brisbane is in for a magnificent Monday, with the mercury climbing from 11 degrees to a maximum of 23 degrees with plenty of glorious blue sky.
It’ll be a much more grey public holiday for Perth and Adelaide, thanks to a cold front driving in showers and potentially storms.
From a cool low of 7 degrees, Perth will reach 18 degrees under cloudy skies- light showers are expected through the day.
Up to six millimetres in rainfall is expected to soak Adelaide in the afternoon, along with the chance of a thunderstorm; so perhaps best to make the most of the morning tomorrow before the showers set in.
Despite the showers, the city is set to reach a mild top of 19 degrees.
