LIFE is about to get even sweeter for Gold Coast “cupcake queen’’ Elise Strachan, who is mixing up the ingredients to her success with a number of projects on the boil.

The global success story, along with husband Alec, runs online product My Cupcake Addiction that boasts more than 10 million followers across various platforms.

“My book (Sweet! Celebrations) came out last year. I might die under the pressure from doing another one this year, but I am working on a TV show,” said Mrs Strachan.

“It’s with Food Network and we’re shooting here in June, and people should see that come out in November here in Australia.”

The busy mother-of-two, who splits her time between the Coast, Los Angeles and New York, is also launching a video creation app.

“I want to help other people in the technology space do what I do,” she said.

And that is achieve millions of avid followers, rivalling the consumer base of Jamie Oliver’s and Gordon Ramsay’s food channels – but it is another culinary identity Mrs Strachan has in her sights, with her next move.

“I’m excited to rediscover some of the things that are important to me, get off the phones and tablets and buy some land with a view to turn it into a hobby farm,” she said.

“I’m going to go from high-flying businesswoman and chef extraordinaire to an at-home Martha Stewart, raising alpacas.”

Mrs Strachan has listed the palatial Tallebudgera home she shares with her husband and their two young sons.

The self-confessed “city girl” said the property gave the family a taste of life on the land.

“We have tons of edibles on the property,” she said. “There are 27 types of fruit and vegetables, like plums and pears and nectarines.”

My Cupcake Addiction followers would also recognise the kitchen – one of three at the property – that is used as the studio for the show and where the couple spend hours each week cooking, baking and styling.

“There are three kitchens in this home which you would expect from someone who cooks for a living,” said Mrs Strachan.

“There’s the butler’s kitchen which is great for those messy jobs behind closed doors, the main kitchen with chef’s appliances, a teppanyaki grill and induction oven, and then the one I use for filming.”

“My favourite is the main kitchen, it’s the heart of the home.”

The rest of the house is just as charismatic from the $10,000 feature mirror at the entrance to the living area, to the converted second garage set up for a home studio or dual living, to the home cinema and bar.

There’s also a modern, open-plan cabana that was installed just before Mrs Strachan and her husband and sons moved in two years ago and a resort-style pool.

“There’s a private meditation garden for your morning zen, and a steam room and spa,” Mrs Strachan said.

There’s also a herb garden and chicken coop set on the 0.49 ha property.

“I’ve been a city girl and my husband has been a country boy so this was a fun way for us to look at urban land,” Mrs Strachan said.

And no doubt the move will accommodate Mrs Strachan’s work. “Out of all the amazing creations I make, my husband’s favourite is my banana bread,” she said.
