NORTH Melbourne star Andrew Swallow and his wife Elise are handballing their Albert Park renovation as they prepare to leave the city.

The 244-game former Roos’ captain hung up his boots at the end of this year’s season, but he could be thrown another chance to play for the Gold Coast Suns in the pre-season draft.

Greg Hocking Holdsworth, Albert Park, Shame Siemers said the Swallows were selling their three-bedroom home at 2 Ashworth Street, Albert Park, to move north or west, depending on the results of the draft in the coming days.

“Up until this point in time he had retired but whether it stays that way will be decided soon,” he said.

“He bought the house unrenovated and they have renovated it but it is time to move on.

“They have two children and potentially could end up in Perth or Queensland — they are leaving Melbourne.”

The two-storey home set to go to auction on December 2, with price hopes of $2.1 million-$2.3 million.

Mr Siemers said it was “very typical” single-fronted renovation but offered a few extras that most in there area didn’t, including off-street parking and three bathrooms.

“The beach is 100m away, they (buyers) love the backyard and there are three bathrooms rather than the standard two,” he said.

“It is a really functional floorplan.”

CoreLogic records show the property last changed hands in September 2013 for $920,000.

It also shows the renovation permit was worth an estimated build value of $550,000.

The house features an open-plan kitchen and living area that flows on to a decked outdoor entertainment area.
