HOTELS will try and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. But Lindsey Partridge really put a hotel’s hospitality to the test.

Arriving at the Super 8 motel in Georgetown, Kentucky, Ms Partridge, who was in the US for a horseshow, jokingly asked if she could check-in her horse when the check-in staff were discussing the motel’s pet policy.

Visiting from Ontario, Canada, Ms Partridge had decided to stop off and check-in her luggage to her hotel room before dropping off her mare, Here Comes Adri, at the Kentucky Horse Park.

“When we were checking in, and they started talking about the pet policy I jokingly said, ‘Oh my horses are here, will they be allowed in?’” Ms Partridge told The Chronicle of the Horse.

To her complete surprise, the staff were totally fine about it.

“And the lady was really laid-back and said, ‘I don’t care,’ and we said really? So I got my horse off the trailer!”

After paying a $10 pet charge, Ms Partridge took Here Comes Adri to her ground floor room to watch a bit of television. She posted the hilarious photos to her Facebook page, where it has gone viral.

Here Comes Adri didn’t spend the night in the hotel, however, with Ms Partridge eventually loading her back on the trailer and taking her to the Horse Park after capturing the priceless moment.

It’s not the first time a hotel has unexpectedly agreed to a customer’s odd request. A hotel in Ireland went viral earlier this year when it actually followed through on this man’s “special requirement”.

Irish native Daniel Buckley booked a night in a hotel at the Pembroke Hotel in Kilkenny, in southeast Ireland, and as a joke he decided to put in a very specific request when asked if he had any special requirements to make his stay more comfortable.

He never thought the hotel would actually oblige, but they did.

When Mr Buckley arrived in his hotel room, sitting on a table was a framed image of actor Christopher Walken as he appeared in Pulp Fiction.

“They’ve gone and bloody done it,” he wrote in a post on social media.
