IF YOU have ever wanted to tell people you’ve played tug of war against a lion, now is your chance. You can now pit your strength against rare African white lions Holden and Kimba.
Dreamworld has unveiled its newest visitors Holden and Kimba, two extremely rare African white lions, who will call the park home for the next two weeks.

The two-and-a-half-year-old males have travelled to the Coomera theme park from their permanent home at Altina Wildlife Park, west of Wagga Wagga in NSW.
While at the park, they will take over one of the existing Tiger facilities and visitors to the park will be able to play tug of war against them.
The brothers, part of just a handful of white lions in captivity around the world, will take pride of place in Dreamworld’s Tiger Island precinct from Tuesday until July 13.

Guests will be able to come face-to-face with the apex predators at Tiger Island’s Up Close Experience, added to the precinct as part of its $7.5 million makeover.
Tiger Island’s Lair will be transformed into sub-Saharan territory modelled on Timbavati Lodge, in the Kruger National Park, for Kimba and Holden’s visit, with guests able to observe the lions’ natural behaviour through triple laminated, toughened glass.
Life Sciences executive general manager Al Mucci said Holden and Kimba’s visit would help conservation initiatives for vulnerable and endangered big cats in the wild via the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation.
